Pre-production work
Consent forms:
Here we have the consent forms as part of our pre-production
work. This means we are able to film the actors and have proof to show that
they allowed us to film them and show it to other people. Unfortunately, we are
missing one of the consent forms, so next time we will have to make sure we
have them all uploaded and saved so that we would be able to show the
production to other people.
Location consent forms:
Our location consent forms are important because it means we
can use specific locations to film. We were able to easily complete this
because the location we used was my house, which meant I was the only one who
had to complete the location consent form. However, next time I would do more
research when it comes to power capabilities and observations. For example,
with power capabilities I would do research to find out how much power the
house has, or the area has.
Storyboard:
The story board was the first part of the pre-production
work that we completed. Its important because it sets in place how the
production will look and is like the backbone of the film. We gave a clear
example of what camera angles we were going to use and the mise-en-scene of
each scene. Next time I would spend more time on the pictures to make sure they
clearly get across want we want to do, so when it comes to filming it’s easier
to figure out exactly what we wanted to do.
Minutes:
We used the minutes document to record everything we done in
each lesson. We recorded what we all done, the date, the lesson and who was and
wasn’t here. This helps us to understand what we have done each lesson and
gives us an idea of what we need to do next time. However, next time I think we
need to write more detailed notes of what we completed each lesson, and make
sure that we document everything in minutes even when we aren’t in lesson.
Production camera
angles:
For the production camera angles will listed all of the
different camera angles we were going to use, which helped us to set a
structure of what we were going to do, which made it easier and quicker to
film. However, next time I would like to experiment which different camera angles,
as well as using different bits of equipment to help us film, for example, using
a steady cam gimble to film different shots.
Production
schedule:
The production schedule was used as initial guidance when it came to filming and preparing what we were going to do. We were able to plan exactly what we were going to do, including details such as personnel, equipment and props that we were going to use. It also made us work out home much time we were going to spend on each scene or how long they would roughly take. Although, we weren’t able to film on the day that we planned so next time we need to make sure we can film on that day and if not then we need to change the production schedule so that it is suitable for everyone.
Risk assessment:
For our risk assessment we prepared a list of potential
accidents that could happen and solutions to make sure that the set we were
filming at was safe for everyone. This is useful because we were able to think
of potential hazards and identify ways around them which made the space safer
for everyone and made us focus more on our surroundings. However, next time I
would go and double check the set before we used it to make sure that there
were no other risks that we may have missed before.
Budgeting:
Here we have our budgeting sheet that we completed for our pre-production work. We evaluated what we would need to spend money on including props, travel, and food for participants. We we able to plan how much we were going to spend and were able to find cheaper alternatives which made the whole production cheaper. Next time we will make sure we keep all receipts and attach them to the document so that we have proof of what we spent our money on and to make sure we didn't miss anything out.
